Players must also bear in mind that when playing from the tableau piles they should be doing so by alternating colours, which means each time a new card is played they'll reveal another face-down card beneath it.

In order to achieve this goal, tableau piles must be constructed sequentially downwards by alternating colors and revealing each new playable card after a preceding one has been played.
