Multiple spare shields are available during gameplay; however, they will inevitably deplete upon collision with meteors and leave your primary defense vulnerable. Nevertheless, do not fret because you'll receive more supplementary shields once you progress to higher levels. REMEMBER! Every new level reached comes with its own set of added reinforcements for protection purposes.
